We care about your safety and urge you to please observe the following:
• Never forget that a lit candle is fire.
• Never leave a lit candle unattended.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Ensure that flammable materials are removed from the vicinity of the flame.
• Always place your candles on a non-flammable surface. Protect surfaces from potential staining by colored candles and dripping wax by always using an appropriate candle holder.
• Trim the wick to 1/4” before lighting.
• Extinguish candles when they get to within one inch of their holder.
• Place your candles in a draft-free area. This will discourage dripping and help your candles to burn evenly. Even a dripless candle will drip in a draft.
• As votives are liable to liquefy, always burn votives in a receptacle.
• Always store candles in a cool, dark area. Store flat to prevent warping.
• Rather than blowing out your candles, use a snuffer to extinguish them.
To remove wax residue from holders:
- Run hot water over it.
- Or: Place it in the freezer overnight;
- Or: Use a blowdryer to heat the wax, then quickly wipe with a rag.
When burning a pillar candle for the first time, let it burn long enough so that the melted wax pools to the furthest reaches of the candle. This ensures that your candle has a long-life and efficient burning cycle.
Also remember that candles are a handmade item and each one is unique. Slight flaws and imperfections are to be expected.
